Cracked
Ammonia
gas generator produces mixture of Hydrogen and Nitrogen
which is commonly used in Heat treatment furnaces. Ammonia
cracking takes place on Nickel catalyst at 850oC
temperature. The Cracked Ammonia gas also contains around
100-ppm uncracked ammonia impurity and its dew point is
only (-) 30oC. Ammonia
cracking reaction is endothermic so it requires heating
from outside. Upto 100Nm3/hr capacity, we generally provide
electrical heating furnace.

Sieves Purifier |

For
reducing residual Ammonia content and to get very dry gas,
a Molecular sieves purifier is provided after Ammonia cracking
unit. This reduces ammonia down to 1-ppm level and dries gas
upto (-) 80oC dew point.

Catalyst retort is
made of heat resistant alloy which can withstand upto 1150oC
operating temperature. Retort life is around 10 years. |
