PSA Nitrogen Gas Generators
 
 How Does it work
 
The Nitrogen generator produces Nitrogen gas from atmospheric air using Molecular Sieves Seperation technique. It uses Carbon Molecular Sieves which has ability to preferentially remove oxygen from air. The process and supply of Molecular Sieves is licenced to us by Carbotech Industrieservice- Germany.


Nitrogen generator consists of 2-Beds filled with Carbon Molecular Sieves. When compressed air is passed, Nitrogen comes out as product gas from one bed while other bed is simultaneously regenerated by depressurisation to atmospheric pressure. This process is called “PRESSURE SWING ADSORPTION” (PSA).

 Nitrogen Purity

From Nitrogen Generator gas of purities from 99% to 99.9999% can be produced. Simple PSA Unit produces raw Nitrogen of 99% Purity. By adding Purification unit to PSA unit, high purity Nitrogen is produced. Following are the Generator Models to produce different Nitrogen purities:
 
 Nitrogen Generator Models
 
 “MS” Model
This is the simplest model Nitrogen Generator. It produces commercial grade Nitrogen of 99% purity very economically. However, if Carbon Molecular Sieves quantity is increased, even 99.999% purity Nitrogen can be produced from this model. Higher the purity, higher would be the investment and higher would be the running cost. This model is economical and is recommended for purity upto 99.9%. This model is commonly used for purging/inertizing applications.
 
 “DX” Model
This model is recommended for use in Metallurgical industries to provide oxygen free Nitrogen gas for Heat Treatment Furnaces. Here Oxygen is less than 1-ppm and at the same time Hydrogen is around 0.5 to 1% which is desirable as reducing constituent in, most of Heat Treatment applications.

By adding Palladium catalyst based Deoxo Purification Module in “MODEL-MS” Generator, it becomes “DX-MODEL” This model also finds applications in Chemical/Electronic Industries.

 
 “Copper-DX” Model
In certain applications where one needs very very pure gas free from Oxygen as well as Hydrogen, Nitrogen Purification Module based on Copper Deoxo Catalyst is added. By adding this Copper Catalyst Module to “MS Model” Generator, it becomes Model “Copper- DX”
This finds application in synthetic fiber, optical cables and electronic industries. Cost of production of Nitrogen from this model is higher.
