MVS Engineering is pleased to announce successful commissioning of one more large capacity VPSA Oxygen plant. This plant is being used for oxybleaching process in the Paper industry for bleaching and delignification processes.
MVS has supplied large capacity VPSA plants to a prestigious client in Western India. The plants were delivered within the committed timeframe and have been successfully commissioned by our engineering team.
The turnkey supply of this VPSA Oxygen plant was awarded to MVS Engineering on basis of competitive pricing, extensive reference list in the Paper industry and our experience with supply of large scale VPSA Oxygen plants. MVS Engineering has also been working with the leading Paper machinery manufacturers for supply of VPSA Oxygen generators.
Prior to introduction of Oxygen in delignification, the paper industry extensively used chlorine for bleaching of pulp and this lead to air and water pollution. Of late, with an eye towards reducing pollution and for safer manufacturing processes, the paper industry has adopted delignification and bleaching by use of Oxygen gas. The benefits of Oxygen for these processes include:
– Reduction of emissions from the bleaching process
– Consumption of hazardous and expensive oxidizing chemicals is reduced
– Reduces Landfill Solids
– Reduction of corrosion problemsa
– On-site generation of Oxygen can solve chemical availability and transportation problemsa
This VPSA Oxygen plant was complete supply of MVS Engineering including the feed air compressor, the booster Oxygen compressor for the desired outlet pressure and Oxygen storage tanks. All vessels were designed per ASME Sec VIII Div 1. This plant is fully automated and incorporates complete shutoff and venting in the unlikely event of any malfunction.
