Bulk quantities of pure oxygen gas are needed in several commercial fields. It is not easy to meet such requirements by buying oxygen cylinders. Only an onsite oxygen generator can supply oxygen for an indefinite time. MVS Engineering Pvt. Ltd is a trusted name if you want to buy a good quality commercial oxygen generator. Oxygen is essential in all hospitals to help patients in critical conditions. Moreover, this gas is widely used in many industrial applications, like in the steel industry, aerospace, paper industry, wastewater management, glass industry, and chemical factories.
The functional technology used in an oxygen generator
MVS Engineering has collaborated with some foreign companies to create oxygen generators using PSA technology. PSA is the short form of Pressure Swing Adsorption, which is a modern technology that helps in separating oxygen from nitrogen and other gases present in the air. Two vessels are packed with molecular sieves that are made of zeolite. Atmospheric air is compressed and passed through these vessels, where nitrogen is absorbed by those sieves. So, only oxygen is left to be collected and dried. Then it is simply passed through pipelines to the required sites for use.
The absorbed nitrogen is later released back into the atmosphere when the molecular sieves are fully saturated with nitrogen. Then those sieves are again fit for use in the oxygen generation process. Meanwhile, oxygen generation is automatically switched to the second vessel and goes on till the sieves are saturated there. Therefore, a commercial oxygen generator continues functioning till it is manually switched off.
Different parts of a commercial oxygen generator
MVS Engineering has manufactured a PSA oxygen generator with a few components, to keep its operation simple and handy. The following parts comprise an oxygen generator –
● An air compressor that cools and compresses atmospheric air
● Two vessels totally filled with molecular sieves made of zeolite, along with activated alumina
● Air dryer that absorbs all moisture particles present in the oxygen, ensuring the dew point of this gas to be as low as (-) 40°C
● Exhaust valve connected to pipelines that carry oxygen directly to users, with the flow rate ranging from 1nm3/hr to 200nm3/hr, with the pressure of 5 Kg/cm2g. If a higher flow rate and pressure are needed, MVS Engineering provides an additional booster, turning it to a VPSA oxygen generator.
