Various models of industrial nitrogen generator

MVS Engineering supplies four models of nitrogen generators, which can be applied according to the needs of clients. MS model, MS-H model, DX model, and Copper-DX model are the four varieties of industrial nitrogen generator.

MS Model – The purity of nitrogen gas produced by this model of nitrogen plant is 95% to 99.9%. The dew point of this gas is only (-) 40°C to (-) 80°C, which means it is absolutely dry. No hydrogen is present in the resultant gas and the oxygen present is only 0.1% to 5% of the gas produced by this model.

MS-H Model – The purity level of nitrogen produced by this generator is very high, ranging between 99.95% and 99.99999%. The dew point of nitrogen here is (-) 40°C to (-) 80°C, proving the absence of water vapor. There is no hydrogen and the amount of oxygen is 1-ppm to 500-ppm 02 in the pure nitrogen.

DX Model – The amount of nitrogen in the gas produced by this nitrogen generator is balanced to meet clients’ requirements. The dew point of that gas is (-) 40°C to (-) 80°C, showing its dryness. The amount of hydrogen can be 0.5% or a bit more while the oxygen amount is of 1-ppm to 3-ppm.

Copper-DX Model – The purity level of nitrogen is highest in this model, which cannot be less than 99.9999%. The dew point of this gas is (-) 40°C to (-) 80°C, proving its absolute dryness. The hydrogen amount is found to be Nil and the oxygen amount is only 1-ppm.

The production process of pure nitrogen by a nitrogen generator

PSA nitrogen generator works on Pressure Swing Adsorption technology. It is the best choice for the onsite production of nitrogen to meet industrial applications. Atmospheric air is passed through an air compressor and cooling machine. Then this compressed and cooled air is directed to a PSA unit containing activated alumina and carbon molecular sieves. Pure nitrogen comes out of this vessel and then passes through a surge vessel to further eliminate traces of other gases. In the case of the DX model, nitrogen then passes through the Deoxo reactor and nitrogen dryer before sending through pipelines to the required sites. The absorbed oxygen and other gases are then released back into the atmosphere.
