Pure oxygen is essential in medical treatment and also in some industrial productions. These organizations need to buy oxygen cylinders or install oxygen generators to meet their requirements. So, MVS Engineering has introduced some features to ensure the safety of its oxygen generation plant.
Prime safety features of an oxygen generation plant
The skid-mounted oxygen plant is provided with the following safety features while maintaining the efficiency of the device. Thus, anyone can operate it and receive a bulk quantity of pure oxygen as needed.
● Maintaining optimum pressure – Pure oxygen is collected in a buffer tank, from where it is supplied through pipelines to designated spots. If the gaseous pressure in this tank exceeds the normal range, the tank may explode and cause injuries to users. So, a Pressure gauge, Pressure switch & Safety valve are fitted to monitor the pressure level in this buffer tank. As and when pressure increases above set pressure of 4.5 Bar, safety valve open to release the pressure.
● Analysis of purity level – The purity level of oxygen is always maintained between 93% and 96%. A Digital Analyzer is fitted to the generation plant, to measure the purity level of oxygen accurately before storing it in the buffer tank. If the purity level drops below 90%, an alarm rings to signify the malfunctioning of the generator. The oxygen supply is then switched automatically to the reserve supply of oxygen.
● Keeping backup arrangement – If the oxygen production is disrupted due to any reason, the oxygen supply is automatically switched to a reserve source of pure oxygen. Clients may simply have some Oxygen cylinders filled with pure oxygen.
