How does an oxygen generator work?
MVS Engineering designs oxygen generators utilizing PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology. Atmospheric air is compressed in an air compressor. This high purity oxygen generator consists of two towers packed with zeolite molecular sieves. Compressed air is passed through one of these towers, where nitrogen is absorbed, leaving only oxygen and negligible traces of other gases.
Moisture is absorbed by passing oxygen through an air dryer. Then 93% – 96% pure oxygen is stored in large tanks. When the sieves of one tower are saturated with nitrogen, oxygen production is automatically shifted to the second tower. MVS Engineering can increase the purity level of oxygen up to 99% in some oxygen generators if some industries need purer oxygen gas for manufacturing processes.
