We design and manufacture systems ranging from 5 to 500 Nm3/hr in a single train. If higher capacity is required, we recommend multiple systems.
99.9999% purity Hydrogen is delivered by our high purity bipolar electrolysis units. We also offer a low purity option delivering hydrogen at 99.8% purity.
MVS Hydrogen generators deliver very dry gas, with dew point as low as (-) 60°C. We also offer measuring instruments for online detection of gas dryness.
Hydrogen gas is delivered from our systems at 15 kg/cm2g without the need of a booster compressor. This pressure satisfies the requirement of the majority of our customers. We offer booster compressor for customers requiring Hydrogen gas at a higher pressure.
MVS Hydrogen Generators
HOW IT WORKS
Hydrogen is generated from pure water (H2O) by applying DC current.
2H2O = 2H2 + O2
DM Water (Demineralized / Deionized) water is used as feed. The water passes through the MVS high pressure bipolar alkaline Electrolyzer cell where DC current is applied causing water to split into Oxygen and Hydrogen. Both gases are washed in separate chambers.
Oxygen is safely vented, whereas Hydrogen is delivered as the product gas.
For high purity systems, Hydrogen is passed through a de-oxo purifier where the purity of Hydrogen improves to 99.9998%. After purification, pure Hydrogen passes through a PSA-type dryer where excess moisture is removed and (-) 60°C dew point is achieved. Finally, pure and very dry Hydrogen gas is delivered to the customer process at high pressure directly from our system.
MVS has collaboration with one of the leading Electrolyzer manufacturers – Sujin. With hundreds of alkaline high pressure electrolyzers installed globally, they offer one of the most reliable and robust systems. We work closely with them to jointly manufacture hydrogen generators while sourcing many components locally to optimize the cost of our systems.
MVS alkaline bipolar water electrolysis Hydrogen generators have advanced monitoring systems ensuring plant operational safety. The systems safely depressurize and shut down in the case of abnormal operation.
